WideOrbit has launched WO Cloud Analytics, a new cloud-based business intelligence solution that enables media companies to use traffic, sales and billing data to take action on “pricing, inventory and financial risk.”

“WO Cloud Analytics’ competitive licensing fees and reduced implementation costs lower the barriers for media companies to use BI as a tool to support decision making and pinpoint new opportunities to drive revenue and grow profits,” the company notes.

WO Analytics Cloud is designed to give media companies the opportunity to improve profitability, increase the accuracy of reports and forecasts, and reduce costs and financial risks. It builds on the foundation of WideOrbit’s flagship business intelligence software WO Analytics Enterprise, which is used by companies like Entravision and Townsquare Media to optimize inventory usageimprove sales team performance, and support change management initiatives, the company says.

Additionally, WideOrbit says, sales and finance teams “can easily identify opportunities and catch problems early by reducing make-goods, improving pricing strategy, managing oversell, and exposing lost revenue.”

WideOrbit founder and CEO Eric Mathewson notes, “WO Analytics Cloud underscores WideOrbit’s commitment to helping media companies grow their profitability and use insights from data to improve their processes. Our customers have told us that they would like to use their traffic data for reporting and decision-making, but most business intelligence solutions have too high a cost of entry. WO Analytics Cloud democratizes access to BI by making its power available to anyone who wants to build a more data-driven business decision culture.”
