As the countdown to the 2020 election goes into full swing and the prognostications intensify, no matter what side of the spectrum you fall on, you’ll probably agree on one thing: It’s definitely not what most would consider “politics as usual.”
With all of the contradictory media polling and analytics, serious national issues, and the dominance of the impeachment process now in play, nationally renowned political pollster John McLaughlin — at the personal request of Dick Morris — joins Forecast to analyze the trends and messages that will set the foundation for the election campaign.
Due to several weeks of medical treatments in Houston, Dick Morris will not be at Forecast. In his absence, he has asked John McLaughlin to step in at the event.
John McLaughlin has worked professionally as a strategic consultant and pollster for over 35 years. His extensive background and experience in the political arena have made him a sought-after strategist and speaker up and down the Beltway as well as internationally. He has earned a reputation for helping some of America’s most successful corporations and winning some of the toughest elections in the nation.
In 2016, McLaughlin was able to forecast the close presidential election, and in 2018, he foresaw the loss of the House majority for the Republicans. He also worked as an advisor and pollster for President Trump from the primaries through Election Day.
At Forecast, John will explore the strategy and nuances that might impact the upcoming election, drawing on over 30 years of experience with political clients including former presidential candidates Steve Forbes and Fred Thompson, former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and Georgia Governor Nathan Deal along with numerous members of the House and Senate. Internationally, he has done work in Israel for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom, and for former Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada. He also advised Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in his landslide 2018 re-election.
McLaughlin is a founding partner of Opiniones Latinas, a public-opinion research company dedicated to researching opinions of Hispanic registered voters nationwide. He has appeared on every major broadcast and cable channel, as well as prominent radio talk shows across the U.S.
