92.3 WIL St. Louis is hosting another “Cornbread’s World’s Largest Garage Sale” on Saturday, April 10 from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm, rain or shine at Fairmount Park Race Track. This year’s ultimate “trinkets and trash” bash will feature a special “Baby Mania” section, where families can sell or purchase baby, toddler and children’s furniture, toys, clothing and more.

The Early Bird (7-8am) admission fee is $10 per person, and regular admission (between 8am and 1pm) is $5 per person. Children ages 5 and under are free of charge.

A limited number of both indoor and outdoor booth spaces are still available for purchase for $25 per space/slot.

Set-up for “Cornbread’s World’s Largest Garage Sale” will take place from 12:00 Noon until 10pm on Friday, April 9; and from 4:30am until 6:30am on Saturday, April 10.

Listeners can get a sneak peak and check out all of the garage sale “goodies” by checking out the individual classified ads for the booth spaces posted there.

RBR-TVBR observation: They very likely have advertiser involvement in this now-yearly event. However, that’s not the point here. The admission and booth space fees will add up and may make this quite a profitable NTR event for the station. Creating events for listeners that will make them and your station $$ is certainly a win-win and increases listener interaction/involvement in the process. This is not a bad idea for any and every-sized market.
