CBS Radio’s SportsRadio 610 WIP-AM Philadelphia will hold the 4th Annual Great Birds Debate 3/24 beginning at Noon at Chickie’s and Pete’s in South Philly.  WIP talkers Angelo Cataldi, Howard Eskin, Al Morganti, Anthony Gargano, Ike Reese, Rob Ellis, Jeremiah Trotter, Hugh Douglas, Philadelphia Eagles Insider Dave Spadaro and CBS 3’s Beasley Reece will all be present to discuss everything from the NFL Lockout to how the Birds (The Eagles, of course) move toward championship form.

WIP’s Glen Macnow will moderate.  Rob Charry will host the Debate post game show from 1:30-3PM.  The public is invited to attend and there is no charge for admission. The format will be in the style of a presidential debate. Each participant will be at a podium, make opening and closing statements and answer questions from the moderator and the audience. This is the one time each year that the entire WIP airstaff is on the same stage together.

In the past Debates, fireworks exploded as the members of the WIP airstaff challenged one another about where the Birds were in their quest toward a championship and what key pieces were most important.  With the 2011-12 season in jeopardy and the Birds going through so many changes, this year’s Great Birds Debate may make for the most explosive episode yet!

Listeners will have the chance to decide the winner of WIP’s Great Debate by voting online at www.cbsphilly.com immediately after the Great Birs Debate.  Voting will continue until 3/28 and the winner will be announced on WIP at noon.

The debate can be heard by listening live on SportsRadio 610 WIP, over the Internet at cbsphilly.com and via mobile devices. The CW Philly 57 will also air the debate on 4/3 8 to 9:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Collision Care Auto Body Centers, CJ’s Tires, Hi-Fi House, Guida Door and Window, Elite Acura, Premier Lacrosse, Modell’s, Derstine Landscaping, Montgomeryville Army Navy, West German BMW, Great Railing, Valley Green Bank, Krasno, Krasno & Onwudinjo and Les Richards Menswear.
