WJLA-TV Car Partner Program raises $1.4 million


WJLA-TV DC announced that over $1.4 million has been injected into the national auto industry due to the WJLA Car Partner program. Over $660,000 of that total has already been distributed to local dealerships in the Washington metropolitan area. The Car Partner Program runs until 5/10. The program which was launched on 3/11 granted every employee $2,000 toward the purchase of a new car and $1,000 for the purchase of a used car. 

At the Washington DC operation alone, 28 employees have taken advantage of the opportunity. The program was implemented at all of the Allbritton television stations in the hope that it would be of benefit to the employees and provide a boost to the local automobile dealers in those communities.
