Emmis’ 101.9 RXP (WRXP) “The New York Rock Experience” has teamed up with WNBC-TV for the city’s only music show; “NYFM.” The program is hosted by The Rock Show’s Matt Pinfield and Leslie Fram and takes you behind the scenes at the 101.9 RXP studios and on location across NYC. Matt and Leslie will use their depth of rock knowledge and contacts to take viewers inside artist’s lives, venues, and rock history.
Each week viewers will learn about what’s breaking in the rock industry. The show will include appearances and in studio performances by some of the biggest names in rock such as Dave Mathews, Rocco Deluca, and Derek Trucks. Matt and Leslie will also discuss new releases, concert dates, industry gossip, and local breakout bands.
Rock history will come alive when NYFM leaves the 101.9 RXP studio during it’s “it happened here” segment. The NYFM pilot episode aired on WNBC 8/29 at 1:30AM. Encore showings will also air on Saturday, September 5th at 7:30PM and Sunday, September 6th at 1AM and will also be replayed on 1019RXP.com and RXP TV throughout the month.
