Kids Club Thirteen (http://kids.thirteen.org) is WNET NYC’s new membership program for parents and children connecting them with the best of New York, including family-friendly events, discounted admission to major and under-the-radar cultural and educational institutions, and online resources for parents and care-givers. Kids Club Thirteen children also get a special birthday announcement made on air.

WNET.org is the premier public media provider for the New York metropolitan area and parent company of New York public broadcast outlets Thirteen and WLIW21.

Members will enjoy “13 Fun & Free” events throughout the year, including private screenings of upcoming kids shows and meet-and-greets with favorite PBS show characters. Event partners include: Prospect Park Zoo, the Staten Island Children’s Museum, the Noguchi Museum, Hudson River Museum, Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Rubin Museum of Art and more. Membership also grants discounted admission to a growing list of cultural and educational institutions across the city, including Museum of the City of New York, Jazz at Lincoln Center, NYC Police Museum, and dozens of other places that both parents and children love to experience. In addition, a special birthday announcement will be made for Kids Club children on-air and online. The website also features a calendar of events, helping parents and caregivers plan out their weekends in advance. Weekend activities are recommended by Time Out Kids, the media partner for the site.

The site will also serve as a safe and fun destination for kids, featuring educational games and activities tied to special exhibits throughout year. An annual membership includes two adults and up to three children. For daily news and updates, viewers can follow on Twitter @KidsClub13.
