America’s longest running broadcast happens to be on network radio. CBS News Radio’s The World News Roundup forged broadcasting history when it launched on March 13, 1938. This was the first broadcast to bring the voices of correspondents stationed around the world together for a live news broadcast. World News Roundup marks its 70th anniversary on Thursday.
