The final season of "The Sopranos" netted 15 Emmy nominations for the HBO series. That was impressive, but the made for TV movie "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee," also from HBO, got 17 and the made for TV movie "Broken Trail," on AMC, got 16. For broadcast network TV, ABC's "Ugly Betty" led the field with 11 nominations. The 59th Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Sunday, September 16th in Los Angeles, with the live event to be broadcast by Fox.

Earlier this week, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which is a different organization, announced the nominees for the 28th Annual News Emmy Awards. The winners will be announced Monday, September 24th in New York.
