Cox Radio WPLR-FM’s Chaz & AJ Morning Show are hosting a “Second Chance Prom” 9/17 at Zandri’s Stillwood Inn of Wallingford, CT. The New Haven, CT station is giving listeners the opportunity to relive that special event a second time (or maybe for the first) all over again. This 80’s themed soiree will feature cover band Big Floppy Disc, with DJ John Trousdale spinning tunes 1980 style. The Second Chance Prom sold out in 24 hours. All proceeds are being donated towards the Bridgeport Fallen Firefighter Fund.
There will also be guest appearances by Teresa LaBarbera of WFSB-TV, Kristen Cusato and Matt Scott of WTNH Channel 8 television, plus comedian RC Smith.
AJ of the morning show will also join the band on stage for his version of ‘She Drives Me Crazy. All attendees will dress up in 1980’s style and vintage movie cars from the 80’s (Back to the future DeLorean and a Ferrari) will be parked outside. Bridgeport firefighters, as well as family members of the victims will be in attendance. It’s all sponsored in part by KIA of Milford, Rent-A-DJ and The Cadre Group.
