WRVZ-FM The Beat handing out backpacks

West Virginia Radio Corporation of Charleston’s Rhythmic CHR WRVZ-FM The Beat has teamed up with area businesses to provide backpacks filled with essential school supplies for students returning to school. The Fourth Annual “98.7 The Beat Backpack Attack” giveaway has teamed up with Walgreens, C&H Taxi, Panera Bread, Randy Moss Enterprises and the West Virginia Power. 500 tickets for backpacks will be handed out beginning at 3 p.m. 8/16, to children only.


The event will last until 5 p.m. or until all backpacks are handed out. DJs including Woody Woods will be available for photos and interviews during the entire two-hour appearance. Kanawha County EMTs will be on hand, and water will be provided by Tyler Mountain Water and the West Virginia Power Street Team and mascot Chuck.
