100.3 The Sound: Modern Music for St. Louis is no longer. Clear Channel has changed formats on its WSDD-FM 100.3, flipping from a Modern Hot AC to a All-90s hits format with the “Gen X Radio” moniker. GenX Radio mixes music from the late 80s and 90s with a mix of Pop, Rock, R&B, Grunge, Hip-Hop, Hair Bands, Boy Bands, and others. The station will have no on-air talent for the next three months and will feature Commercial Free Mondays throughout January.
RBR-TVBR observation: A no-brainer. In the latest Arbitron numbers from November, the station was 20th in the market. It may be aiming at #8 Alternative KPNT there, and also may want to pull a bit from #1 CHR KSLZ-FM.
