The Wall Street Journal This Morning with Gordon Deal adds a 5th hour, from 9AM-10AM Eastern Time.  This new hour provides breaking financial and general news after the East coast markets open, particularly for stations in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.  Clear Channel’s Freedom 570, Salt Lake City, which airs the show 4AM-8AM MT, is the inaugural station to kick off the new hour.

The Wall Street Journal This Morning airs on more than 150 radio stations, of which 38 air the show for multiple hours. “Our job is to break the stories great talk stations will spend their day debating,” said Nancy Abramson, executive director of The Wall Street Journal Radio Network. “With more stations airing The Wall Street Journal This Morning throughout morning drive, adding a 9AM ET hour with live market updates when the U.S. markets are open, allows us to expand upon what we do best.”

The Wall Street Journal This Morning airs live 5AM-7AM ET and repeats 7AM-10AM ET with fresh headlines and news stories.  “We’re a business-news and information program for winning talk stations who want to start their day with fast-paced, compelling, original information and the power of The Wall Street Journal brand.  In short, we entertain with information”, said Abramson.
