WTC antenna to be part of 9/11 exhibit

The NY Post reports the TV and radio antenna that once topped the north tower of the World Trade Center will play a key role in the 9/11 Memorial’s museum. Said Alice Greenwald, director of the Memorial Museum: “Its massive size and weight (47,000 pounds) will help convey the enormity of the towers.” The museum is slated to open about a year after the Memorial Plaza, which is now set for the 10th anniversary of the attacks. A salvaged 20-foot section of the 360-foot-tall antenna will be put on display in a gallery designed for the piece.
