Journal Communications’ Newsradio 620 WTMJ will again lead the annual Teddy Bear Patrol campaign from 3/21 to 4/22, sponsored by Time Warner Cable and All American Window & Door. Since 1993, the Teddy Bear Patrol campaign has
collected and distributed 95,000 new teddy bears to local law enforcement and fire officials. These officials give the bears to children who are faced with crisis (abuse, neglect, fire, accidents, etc.) to help comfort them in traumatic situations.

Donations of new teddy bears will be accepted at participating sponsor locations including select Time Warner Cable locations and All American Window & Door. A complete list of sponsor drop-off locations is available on the Events Page at www.620wtmj.com. New bears may also be dropped off at the WTMJ studio.

Cash donations are also accepted, with all of the money collected to be used to purchase new bears to support the Teddy Bear Patrol.

Says Journal/Milwaukee Television & Radio Operations Steve Wexler. “This project is one of our favorites because it helps first responders comfort children when they need it most. I’m grateful to our sponsors and our audience for supporting this endeavor.”

In addition to the public donations, more than 25 schools throughout southeastern Wisconsin have registered to hold teddy bear collection campaigns in support of the Teddy Bear Patrol.
