A bachata star and a salsa legend are the headline acts of Hardee’s Latin Fest 2012 presented by Hindlin Broadcasting’s La Selecta 1050 WVXX-AM Norfolk-Virginia Beach. The event is a two-day festival of Latino music June 8 – 9 on the 24th Street Beach Stage at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The activities include a zumba marathon; the festival is free and open to the public.
Billboard Award and Latin Grammy nominee Andy Andy will perform at 9:30 p.m., Friday, June 8. He’s been lauded as an international ambassador of the bachata by Latin Beat magazine.
Tito Rojas takes the stage at 9:30 p.m., Saturday, June 9. The double platinum-award winner is known as “El gallo salsero” for his salsa music.
The zumba marathon, presented by the Mambo Room Latin Dance Studio, takes place 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., June 9 in 24th Street Park.
