Wyoming FM changing hands

0

SoldIn a deal that is sure to cause no buzz in the world of high finance and Wall Street, a silent noncommercial FM is headed from one entity to another.

The station is KRBR-FM La Barge WY, a class A on 88.9 MHz with 40 W @ 1,394’. It’s located well to the west of Casper and not too far east from the Idaho state line.

The buyer is WCN Inc., headed by Robert Rule.

The seller is frequent trader Victor A. Michael Jr., this time wearing his noncom hat via his Cedar Cove Broadcasting Inc. licensee name.

The price is all cash – ten dollars.

WCN has two other radio stations in Wyoming: The flagship is KKRR-FM Casper, and the other is KWCN-FM Pinedale, in an unrated portion of the state not too far from KRBR’s location.

RBR-TVBR observation: We can’t help feeling a certain amount of empathy for this station. If (a) we were to suddenly come into possession of a radio station; and (b) we were located west of the Mississippi, we’d have to try to strike a deal to acquire this station’s call letters.
