Airing THE X FACTOR Top 12 Results show and the season premiere of BONES, FOX ranked #1 among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens last night. FOX has won every single Thursday so far this season among Adults 18-49.
* THE X FACTOR: 3.7, exactly even with the 8-10pm rating and up +6% versus the 8-9pm hour of its most recent Thursday telecast (on 10/13/11)
o Last night’s THE X FACTOR results show retained 97% of Wednesday’s live performance show in the 8-9p hour (3.8/11).
o THE X FACTOR grew substantially from start to finish, up +21% in its second half-hour vs. its first (A18-49: 3.4 > 4.1)
o In addition, THE X FACTOR was the highest rated program of the night among Teens.
* BONES (P): 3.3, up +22% from last season’s premiere and is the show’s highest-rated premiere since Season 4 (9/3/08)
o Last night’s BONES premiere matched the show’s post-IDOL average with originals last Spring and is up +8% among Adults 18-34 average vs last Spring.
o BONES also outperformed its Fall’10 average by +32% among Adults 18-49 (3.3 vs. 2.5) and +17% among Adults 18-34 (2.7 vs. 2.3).
o The BONES premiere outperformed ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy by +8% in Total Viewers (10.0 vs. 9.3 Mil)
o BONES won the 9p hour among Teens (2.1/8), its highest rated premiere in that demo since its series debut (2.3/8 on 9/13/05)
Competition – regular non-time-zone adjusted Fast Nationals
Following the now-cancelled Charlie’s Angels (1.2/3, flat), ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy (3.5/9, down -5%) and Private Practice (2.6/7, up +8%) were both in line with their prior season averages.
On CBS, The Big Bang Theory (5.1/15, up +11%), Rules Of Engagement (3.7/10, up +12%) and Person Of Interest (2.7/7, flat) were all about average. The Mentalist (2.9/8) grew +16% versus last week.
Following Community (1.7/5, up +21%) and Parks & Recreation (2.0/6, up +11%), NBC’s The Office (3.1/8, up +7%) was in line with its recent performance, but through six telecasts is down -13% from its year ago performance (3.3/8 vs. 3.8/10). At 930p and 10p, Whitney (2.1/5) gained +5% and Prime Suspect (1.2/3) gained +9%.
