The rumor mill has it that the FCC has alerted representatives of XM and Sirius to have all hands on deck for the remainder of July, even if it means canceling vacation plans. The proposed merger of the two satellite audio services is said to be circulating on the 8th Floor. However, the rumors are agnostic as to the way the FCC is leaning. The merger could be approved with the conditions FCC Chairman Kevin Martin outlined last month, with different conditions, or it could be voted down. Stay tuned.
