Yahoo has ended its attempt to compete with Netflix and Hulu and shut down Yahoo Screen.
The two-year-old service pulled in premium TV and video.
Yahoo invested in various content, including “Saturday Night Live” programs, NFL video and Katie Couric reports. Couric remains at Yahoo as a news anchor, and her reports will remain on the site, according to MediaPost.
A Yahoo spokesman told publications the company is “constantly reviewing” its products as it strives “to create the best user experience.”
