Yes.com (www.yes.com), a radio listener Internet website, had 829,000 unique monthly users in May, according to recently released data from Compete, an Internet monitoring company.
Approximately 3,000 radio stations have playlists featured on the Yes.com website, enabling listeners to comment on songs as they are being played in real time. Yes.com also recently launched a widget, which can be embedded into any radio station website. Through the widget, listeners can instantly purchase songs from the station playlist directly from iTunes.
"We want to create a way for stations to tap into a more social experience for music fans,” said Daniel Goldscheider, CEO of YES.
Radio enthusiasts can search stations at YES.com and can grab the widget from their favorite radio station’s Web site, use it on their desktop, their mobile handset or display it on their own Myspace and/or Facebook profiles.
