Natasha Manners-Floy, an operations manager at the ABC Television Network, will receive this year’s Disney ABC Television Group Black Achievers in Industry Award, presented by the Harlem branch of the YMCA of Greater New York.

The Black Achievers in Industry (BAI) Awards program was launched by the Harlem YMCA branch to honor African American women and men for outstanding contributions to their respective industries and communities and to motivate minority youth by providing positive role models. This year marks the 40th national salute.

Manners-Floy will be recognized for her achievements at ceremonies Thursday evening, March 18, at the New York Marriott Marquis as part of the Harlem YMCA’s 2010 National Salute to Black Achievers in Industry. She will also be lauded at a company luncheon co-hosted by the Broadcast Operations & Engineering and Human Resources units.

Since joining ABC’s Broadcast Operations & Engineering division in New York a decade ago, Manners-Floy has advanced through management positions of increasing responsibility. She currently serves as Network and Log Operations Manager, leading a team that maps the flow of Network programming. She previously held the positions of Network Administration Manager, Log Operations, and Program Operations Manager, Day of Air. Earlier in her career, Ms. Manners-Floy worked as a Promotions Manager for both WOR Radio and Christal Radio in New York.

Active in community service, Manners-Floy is a Disney VoluntEAR, Secretary of Hands & Hearts for Nevis (the Caribbean country of her paternal ancestry) and participates in various church-related charitable efforts.
