A Russian man is facing charges after he allegedly retaliated for being rejected by a television reality show. He’s accused of planting bombs at the studios, one of which went off and injured a security guard.

According to the Russian Information Agency Novosti, the 39-year-old man tried repeatedly to get on the Russian version of “Big Brother,” but never got past the initial casting phase. He’s now accused of leaving two backpacks containing bombs outside the Dom-2 studios near Moscow where the show is produced.

A security guard on routine patrol with a partner was injured Sunday (4/25) morning when he moved one of the backpacks and it exploded. The other bomb was found and disabled by security forces.
