Young stations back on Dish

That didn’t last long. A new retransmission consent agreement has been struck and the 10 Young Broadcasting stations restored to Dish Network’s satellite offerings of local-to-local signals.

No details of the new agreement were made public. Young Broadcasting issued only a brief statement announcing that it had come to terms with Dish.

“We are pleased to have reached a mutually acceptable retransmission consent agreement with the DISH Network. The agreement is consistent with our retransmission consent goals,” said Vincent Young, Young Broadcasting Chairman and CEO.

Dish Network had pulled all 10 Young stations from its service last week after retrans talks broke down. But the parties went back to bargaining and the matter was settled over the weekend.

Young’s stations are KRON-TV (MyNetworkTV) San Francisco, WKRN-TV (ABC) Nashville, TN; WTEN-TV (ABC) Albany, NY; WATE-TV (ABC) Knoxville, TN; WRIC-TV (ABC) Richmond, VA; WBAY-TV (ABC) Green Bay, WI; KWQC-TV (NBC) Quad Cities, IA-IL; KELO-TV (CBS) Sioux Falls, SD; WLNS-TV (CBS) Lansing, MI; and KLFY-TV CBS) Lafayette, LA.
