Pete Mihan is known for his leadership and sales experience earned at such companies as Microsoft and Ericsson. He also has video product experience from his time at Frontier Communications.
Now, Mihan will align the sales organization around Zone·tv’s go-to-market strategy and target new growth opportunities.
Mihan takes the role of VP/Sales for zone·tv, maker of Zone·tv Studio — proprietary software that utilizes artificial intelligence to enable entertainment discovery, channel curation and video delivery in real time to content delivery partners including networks, MVPDs, OTT providers and others.
The software recognizes viewers’ behavior and reprograms itself, in real time, to alter channel line-ups with preferred content fed to the viewer’s channel.
As such, video distributors and content owners can now deliver in real time a ‘Spotify-like’ video experience to consumers based on their individual viewer preferences.
At Frontier Communications, Mihan’s most recent place of work, he led video product management, overall video strategy, product roadmaps for Vantage TV, FiOS TV and multiscreen streaming applications and overall customer experience for more than one million subscribers.
“The zone·tv Studio service enables video distributors and content owners to quickly onboard their existing libraries of exclusive or licensed content, enhance the metadata, curate, program and deliver A.I.-enhanced linear video channels,” the company says. “This is all achieved without the need for any special equipment because the service is entirely cloud-based.”
