Blackhawk adds two in Yuma

KalilKalil & Co. announced two closings on the sale of KSWT-DT (CBS) and KYMA-DT (NBC) in Yuma, AZ to Blackhawk Broadcasting. KSWT was sold by Pappas Arizona License, which together with Pappas Telecasting of Arizona, LLC, is headed by Trustee and Managing Member, David Stapleton. The station sold for $900K with $45K escrow, $765K cash at closing and a $90K indemnity escrow.


KYMA-DT was sold by Yuma Broadcasting Company, which is a subsidiary of intermountain West Communications Company, a Nevada-based company headed by James E. Rogers. KYMA was sold for $1.3M.

KSWT also carries Tuff TV and Estrella on digital side channels. KYMA also carries This TV.

The Buyer, Blackhawk Broadcasting LLC, is a Michigan-based company headed

by Brian Brady. Brady also has television assets in Binghamton NY, Laredo TX, Medford-Klamath Falls OR, Spokane WA and Yakima-Tri-Cities WA.
