Mike O’Meara, for years half of the “Don & Mike” radio team on CBS Radio’s WJFK-FM DC (and was syndicated for a while as well), will return to the DC airwaves 7/7 with Kirk McEwen on Citadel Media’s harder-edge Classic Rock WVRX-FM (“The Edge”), the station announced. McEwen, who aired on DC rocker DC101 and Baltimore’s 98Rock, joined The Edge 11/09 as the afternoon driver.
Partner Don Geronimo had left the show in 2008, leaving O’Meara solo on ‘JFK. O’Meara continued there until last summer, when the station switched to Sports Talk as “The Fan.” He has produced his own show via a podcast since then.
The morning show will feature talk, news and a bit of music.
