The program, hosted by Nick Steele and Kristen Flowers, began airing on Entravision Sacramento’s KNTY 101.9 FM The Wolf. Nick and Kristen, both originally from Southern California, met while working on a morning show for a local talk station. After separate stints in Texas and Ohio, they reunited in Indiana, teaming up for their signature morning show prior to their relocation to the Sacramento market. Quickly embraced by the community, they became leaders in numerous charity events including Race for the Cure, Special Olympics of Indiana, Autism Speaks and the local Humane Society chapters.
“We are thrilled to welcome this creative and captivating duo to the Sacramento market. KNTY is such a terrific station, we wanted a great morning show and we found it with Nick and Kristen,” said Angelica Balderas, Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions for Entravision’s Sacramento market. “The addition of this team demonstrates Entravision’s commitment to building upon the station’s existing success with new and vibrant local content.”
“The goal of our show is to make our listeners smile before they start their day. Every morning we look for creative ways to entertain and make our audience laugh,” said Steele.
“We feel that it brings a connection to a community that can’t be faked with a recorded voice. Living locally gives us the ability to reach out and touch our listeners, and talk about the things that are important to them and important to our city,” added Flowers.
Flowers has held on-air positions in markets across the southwest including Las Vegas, NV, Houston, TX and Terre Haute, IN.
