Facebook now offers live video streaming from pages

This could present another component to the whole issue of potential internet clogging. Nonetheless, it adds a new dimension to the Facebook phenomenon. Live streaming video service Livestream has released a Facebook app for page owners that allows a way to stream live video from their Facebook pages.

The “Livestream for Facebook” app works in with the Livestream Podcaster software for PC and Mac and gives page owners the ability to stream live to their Facebook page with a single click. The app is also fully customizable, supports Facebook chat and has features that encourage page visitors to share activity on their walls.

Livestream’s do-it-yourself Facebook app for streaming video will help to popularize the live streaming movement for brands and businesses, especially given that the app is free to use, easy to install and works within Facebook’s familiar confines. The app is now available through Livestream or Appbistro, reports Mashable.

RBR-TVBR observation: Any brands or marketer using Facebook for social media marketing can now build custom live streaming video experiences into their FB pages. This is offered free of charge to FB page owners and will likely be the topic of numerous upcoming internet seminars.
