Fox's two-hours of 'Hell's Kitchen' closed in 4th place

With a two-hour installment of HELL’S KITCHEN, FOX finished in second place last night among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-34. 


HELL’S KITCHEN:  Week two of HELL’S KITCHEN posted a 2.9/9 for the night among Adults 18-49, right in line with its premiere last week (2.9/8).

Last night’s HELL’S KITCHEN also made significant gains against CBS’ Survivor this week, closing the gap in head to head competition during the 8p our by 0.8 rating points (1.4 last week vs. 0.6 last night.)  In addition, HELL’S KITCHEN out-delivered Survivor among Adults 18-34 in the 8p hour (2.5/9 vs. 2.4/8).

Competition
On ABC, The Middle (2.4/8), Better With You (2.1/6), Modern Family (4.5/12), Cougar Town (2.9/8), and The Whole Truth (1.3/4) all showed double-digit losses (-11%, -16%, -12%, -15%, -13%) from their debuts last week.

At 8p, CBS’s Survivor: Nicaragua (3.4/11) dropped -15% week over week and matched its lowest original rating ever (excluding specials).  Criminal Minds followed with a 3.6/10, down -10% from last week’s season premiere (4.0/11).  At 10p, The Defenders (2.5/8) dropped -14% from its series debut last week (2.9/8). 

NBC dramas Undercovers (1.6/5) and Law & Order: SVU (2.7/7) dropped -24% and -16%, respectively, from their premieres last week. The series premiere of Law & Order: Los Angeles posted a 3.1/9, down -11% from The Jay Leno Show’s premiere in the time period last fall (3.5/10 on Wed. 9/16/09), while up versus last season’s drama time period premiere of Law & Order: SVU on 3/10/10 (2.6/8).
