The government reported a rise in consumer spending for July, but a related report on consumer income came in below analysts’ expectations. That just added to worries about the strength of the economic recovery. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended Monday down 141 points, or 1.4%, at 10,010. Broadcasting stocks were not spared.
The RBR Radio Index was down 9.167, or 3.9%, at 227.954.
The TVBR Television Index was down 4.840, or 2.9%, at 164.175.
