John FM WWJN, serving the Hilton Head SC market from its licensed home in Ridgeland SC, is getting new ownership. The buyer is Low Country Radio LLC, owned by CJ Jones, Joseph Mule and Joel Garrett.
The seller is John Broomfield’s JB Broadcasting LLC.
Low Country will pay $640K for the station, with $50K going into escrow, another $75K cash due at closing and the remainder handled via seller financing.
The station, a Class C3 operating on 104.9 MHz, plays “Beach, Boogie, Blues and some Jazz,” according to its website, and is and will continue to be a standalone operation. An LMA is set to kick off 2/1/10.
