The legal drama “Outlaw” starring Jimmy Smits is the third new series to be canceled in the still young 2010-2011 TV season. The NBC series joins Fox’s “Lone Star” and ABC’s “My Generation” as casualties of low ratings.
For now, NBC is extending “Dateline” to two hours on Friday to fill the 10-11 pm ET/PT slot.
The four remaining episodes of Outlaw already in the can will be burned off on Saturdays at 8:00 pm ET/PT.
