Radio 104.5 presenting latest Summer Block Party

Clear Channel’s Modern Rocker in Philly, WRFF-FM Radio 104.5, and State Farm are presenting the fourth of its five Summer Block Parties at The Piazza at Schmidts on Saturday, 8/6 at 4PM. The free concert features performances by The Airborne Toxic Event, The Naked and Famous, & Panic Years. The Piazza at Schmidts (pictured) is a landscaped, 80,000 square foot open-air plaza with free events year-round, surrounded by three new buildings including 35 artists studios and boutiques, restaurants, 500 apartments and 50,000 square feet of office space.


Radio 104.5 Summer Block Parties are at the Piazza monthly through September with a free open-air concert series and interactive festival at “the epicenter of the city’s new nightlife, culture and cool.”   

The Airborne Toxic Event, an indie rock band from LA, released their most recent album “All At Once” in April of this year and will be featured in “Muppets: The Green Album,” the soundtrack for the Muppets movie that will hit stores in August. The Naked and Famous, a rock band from New Zealand, signed with their label Somewhat Damaged and released their first studio album “Passive Me, Aggressive You” in September of 2010. Panic Years is an alternative band based in Philadelphia that got its start in 2007. Their 2010 album “Finally, Today Is Tomorrow” features the hit song “Farther.”
