Here’s Another ‘F’ For Radio’s Report Card

DAYTON, OHIO — Boy, are these rosy times for Radio! We’re recapturing the home, thanks to Smart Speaker devices. We still dominate in-car listening. AM and FM stations still deliver great ROI for local and national advertisers.


If that’s the case, why the heck does my hotel room not have a radio of any kind — even the worst piece-of-junk clock radio I had the pleasure of trying to use while in Las Vegas covering, of all things, the NAB Show?

It’s pathetic, and a wake-up call to just how irrelevant radio is to Hilton, and its Hampton Inn chain.
