WASHINGTON, D.C. — After nearly three hours of queries from members of the powerful Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation, the expected confirmation of two new FCC Commissioners is closer to arrival.
The confirmations, which require a full Senate floor vote, would see the reappointment of a well-liked Democrat who is largely responsible for the death of former FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler’s controversial set-top-box plan, and the addition of the Commission’s current General Counsel, who last month celebrated five years at The Portals.
