Season-to-date, Univision is the #1 Network Pick on Friday Nights among Adults 18-34

Univision kicked off the February Sweeps as the #2 Broadcast Network among Adults 18-34, the only network to Post Ratings Increases among Adults 18-34 without the Super Bowl

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of January 30, 2012 to February 5, 2012

* Univision was the #3 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-34, out delivering ABC (+29%), and CBS (+48%) in the demographic.

* Univision kicked off the February sweeps as the only broadcast network with ratings increases versus a year ago among Adults 18-34 (+3%), except NBC which aired the Super Bowl.  February sweeps to-date, Univision ranks as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and has also posted audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+2%.)

* Versus the comparable week a year ago, Univision’s  primetime audience increased +3% among Adults 18-49, while other English-language broadcast networks (ABC -16%, CBS -12%, and FOX -80%) reported declines; Univision’s audience also increased among Adults 18-34 (+4%) versus the same week a year ago.

* Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

* During the 9PM hour (based on M-F), Univision aired “Que No Podia Amar” to rank as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34. “La Que No Podia Amar” also attracted more viewers compared to the previous week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.8 Million, +8%), Adults 18-49 (2.6 Million, +7%), and Adults 18-34 (1.4 Million, +6%).

* Univision kicked off the week as the #2 network among Adults 18-34.  Monday night’s success was marked by the premiere of the highest rated U.S produced telenovela, “El Talismán.”
* As the second novela produced in collaboration with Univision Studios and Venevision, “El Talismán” delivered an average audience of 3.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.1 million Adults 18-49, and 1.2 million Adults 18-34 viewers.
* The premiere ranked among the top ten programs for the night among Adults 18-49 and as the fourth highest program among Adults 18-34.
* Compared to the premiere of “Eva Luna,” the first Univision Studios novela produced in collaboration with Venevision, “El Talismán” generated 14% more Total Viewers 2+, 15% more Adults 18-49, and 16% more Adults 18-34.
* At 10PM “Don Francisco Presenta” featured guest appearances by Javiercito “El Pequeño Gigante,” Banda El Recodo, and Nayer and delivered over 3.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 million Adults 18-49, and 858,000 Adults 18-34.  Versus the prior Monday telecast “Don Francisco” saw double-digit percentage audience gains among Adults 18-34 +11% and Kids 2-11 (+40%, 337,000.)  Increases were also seen among Total Viewers 2+ (+8%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%) compared to a week ago. Monday night’s telecast ranks among the Top 5 in current season among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.

* Univision maintained its position as the #2 network on Tuesday night among Adults 18-34 and rose to the #2 position among Adults 18-49.  The 10PM telecast of “Aqui Y Ahora,” featuring stories covering the Mexicans’ allegations of abuse from patrol agents along the US border was the highest telecast in the current season among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-34.  The program delivered 3.0 million Total Viewers 2+ (+13%), 1.6 million Adults 18-49 (+26%), and 908,000 Adults 18-34 (+31%) and significantly increased its audience from its prior airing (01/17/2012) in the respective demographics. The telecast was among the fifteen most-watched program of the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

* On Wednesday night Univision sustained its rank as the #2 network among Adults 18-34 and ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-49. Univision aired its highest rated telecast of its reality series “Dale Con Ganas” and increased compared to its previous telecast among Total Viewers 2+ (+13%, 2.4 Million), Adults 18-49 (+22%, 1.4 Million), and  Adults 18-34 (+23%, 813,000).

* Univision was the #1 network on Friday night among Adults 18-34 and ranked as #2 among Adults 18-49.
* Univision’s entire primetime line-up including “El Talismán,” “La Que No Podia Amar,” and “Rosa de Guadalupe,” ranked as the top three programs Friday night among Adults 18-34.
* In the current season Univision has been the #1 Network on Friday nights 90% of the time (18 out of 20 weeks) among Adults 18-34 more than any other broadcast network.

* Univision ranked as the #4 network among Adults 18-49 and #2 among Adults 18-34 on Saturday night. 
* Airing at 8PM, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) attracted 2.5 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 Million Adults 18-49, and 541,000 Adults 18-34 viewers to rank among the top 10 programs for the night in the respective demographics. 
* Following at 10PM on Saturday was the second airing of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s docu-journey “Q’Viva: The Chosen.” The series, which chronicles their travels through 21 Latin American countries as they search for the most amazing performers, delivered 2.4 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 Million Adults 18-49, and 524,000 Adults 18-34 viewers.  The telecast also finished the night among the top 5 programs for Adults 18-34 and ranked #8 among Adults 18-49.

* On Sunday night Univision’s reality series, “Parodiando,” catapulted the network to the #2 position among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Unaffected by the Super bowl, the series maintained its audience from the prior week attracting 2.9 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 Million Adults 18-49, and 936,000 Adults 18-34.  “Parodiando” also ranked as the #3 program for the night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 for the night.
