Our phones, faxes and Outlook files have been literally, figuratively and/or virtually ringing off the hook in the past week or so with brokers informing us of closings big and small - - but we've been so busy following newly-announced deals that we haven't gotten to any of them. >From Media Services Group's George R. Reed: NextMedia Group has completed its 24.5M acquisition of five Wilmington NC stations from two sellers. It got WAZO-FM, WMFD-AM & WRQR-FM from Ocean Broadcasting II and WKXB-FM & WSMF-FM from Sea-Comm Inc.
>From Media Services Group's Robert J. Maccini: The 14.5M sale of WWKX-FM Woonsocket RI and WAKX-FM Narragansett Pier RI from Citadel Broadcasting to AAA Entertainment is complete. The stations serve the Providence market.
>From Patrick Communications' Larry Patrick and Greg Guy: A four-station cluster in and around Hot Springs AR has gone from Powell Broadcasting to Charles Shinn's US Stations LLC for 4M. The stations are KDYL-FM, KQUS-FM, KZNG-AM & KLXQ-FM.
>From Kozacko Media Services' Dick Kozacko: WICE-FM Clarksville VA and WSHV-AM/WKSK-FM South Hill VA have gone from A. Thomas Joyner's Joyner Radio/Old Belt Broadcasting Corporation to Thomas C. Birch's Lakes Media LLC for 2.5M.
