After nearly three years as a Nielsen Audio account director, Laura Ivey will now be taking on a very social role for a research company that’s also gotten very political recent years.
Ivey is now with Edison Research, and has taken a position in which she will direct “various aspects of Edison’s growing practice in audio and social media.”
She will also take a role in Edison’s election research.
“Laura will be an outstanding addition to our team,” said Edison President Larry Rosin. “She has a comprehensive understanding of the audio space and Edison’s clients will really enjoy working with her.”
Ivey most recently served as Nielsen Audio’s Southeast region Account Director, a role she earned in June 2015. From December 1999-June 2003, she was Manager of National Radio Sales at The Arbitron Company, which Nielsen acquired.
Ivey has also served as VP/Radio Sales for Scarborough.
Her earliest career experience includes a one-year stint as an AE for South Central Communications’ WIMZ-FM in Knoxville.
“Social science of the kind Edison produces is a particular passion of mine,” Ivey says. “I’m really excited to join the team there and help Edison’s efforts to serve its clients with quality data and analysis.”
