A Dominant Week For Home Depot At Radio

0

Yes, it was a notable week for one brick-and-mortar haberdasher. And, the auto insurance category is very much a big one once again for spot radio.

But, according to Media Monitors’ latest Spot Ten Radio report, there is one advertiser that towers over all when it comes to spot play count.

That would be The Home Depot, which dominates again thanks to 83,638 spins on the stations tracked by Media Monitors, an iHeartMedia-owned subsidiary.

This explains why iHeartRadio is No. 2; RBR+TVBR discounts this, as these spots could be airing on company-owned stations predominantly or exclusively, with no true ad dollars moving between a brand and a media company.

As such, we consider Macy’s as the no. 2 paid advertiser using spot radio for the week ending April 21 — with a spot play count less than half of what The Home Depot offers.
