Bill Christian, President/CEO of Vision Communications, has attracted attention in recent years for various television industry projects — including the creation of a TV group serving Lafayette, Ind., from the ground up.
Now, Christian is agreeing to purchase a pair of low-power television stations licensed to a community in the Granite State.
The seller is Jeff Winemiller, through his Lowcountry 34 Media.
For $100,000, Christian-led Milachi Media LLC is acquiring W28FA-D and W06DH-D in Westmoreland, New Hampshire.
The town is nestled along the banks of the Connecticut River, facing Vermont and Interstate 81. And, it is equidistant to Keene, N.H., and Brattleboro, Vt., making these two stations of value to those seeking to reach Northern New England consumers via free-to-air signals.
Serving as Winemiller’s legal counsel in the transaction is Davina Sashkin of BakerHostetler; the legal counsel for Christian is Mark Denbo of Smithwick & Belendiuk.
Despite its distance from the Hub, Brattleboro and Keene are part of the Boston DMA.
And, given this distance and the local topography, LPTV signals here have value — as Christian recognizes.
