Update: Rocky Mountain LPTVs Cancelled Despite Owner Fight

In early 2021, a trio of low-power TV stations serving the resort cities of Aspen, Steamboat Springs and Vail, Colo., were to be spun to South Asian entrepreneur and former KGO-TV reporter and anchor Ravi Kapur.

That deal indeed transpired. But, building out the LPTVs hit a snag. They were never built. As such, RBR+TVBR has learned that the three television stations Kapur’s Major Market Broadcasting purchased have been cancelled.

Indeed, a late Wednesday look at the FCC’s LMS shows the call letters for the three stations have been deleted.
