U.S. financial markets were on the rise Tuesday, and radio and TV companies were among the many companies experiencing gains from Monday’s closing bell.

Cumulus Media stood out among the radio companies for noteworthy rises, with CMLS up 33 cents to $14.48.

The same can be said for iHeartMedia, with shares up 31 cents to $18.15.

On the TV side, Gray Television was up 1% in mid-morning activity, but declined 15 cents to finish at $21.25.

Nexstar Media Group sits at $123 with a $0.42 gain.

Even Sinclair Broadcast Group, which just sold a Louisville TV station to Nexstar for $60 million and gave up its CBS affiliation in the Rio Grande Valley to settle its Tribune Media merger meltdown legal battle, is up — SBGI was at $31.24, up 55 cents.
