A Strong Session For Stocks

U.S. financial markets were on the rise on Tuesday, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 140.96 points, to 25,657.73, and Nasdaq was up 53.98 points, to 7,691.52. Most radio and TV companies were also up, including Nexstar Media Group.


At the Closing Bell, Nexstar was up $2.01, to $107.76.

Also in positive territory were Beasley Broadcast Group, up 3.7% to $3.97, and Entercom, up 1.9% to $5.37.

Rising 4 important cents, to $2.42, was Salem Media Group.

Of the few decliners, The E.W. Scripps Co. was off 9 cents to $21.48 on word that it is seeking a loan to help pay for the 15 Cordillera Communication stations it’s buying.

Also down: Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS), with its shares off 2 cents to $0.18.
