U.S. financial markets headed in the right direction on Tuesday, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 39.18 points, to 24,640.45. The Nasdaq composite index was up 31.55, to 7,013.51.
Media issues were largely up. Townsquare Media saw an important rise, with a 10-cent improvement to $6.88. Sinclair Broadcast Group advanced by 90 cents, to $36.45.
Also on the plus side were Nexstar Media Group (up $1.20 to $74.50) and CBS Corp. (up $1.51 to $54.67).
On the down side was Beasley Media Group, losing 30 cents to $12.35.
