In early April 2019, as the NAB Show in Las Vegas unfolded, DuJuan McCoy earned national attention for striking a $42.5 million deal to enter DMA No. 28 — Indianapolis.
An agreement was reached that gave a newly formed company controlled by McCoy the market’s home for The CW Network and MyNetwork TV affiliates. It also gave McCoy the pleasure of learning firsthand just how difficult retransmission consent agreements can be for independent broadcasters.
McCoy’s twin Hoosier properties are now at risk of going dark across AT&T‘s trio of TV services.
