For the second straight day, stock prices rose in early trading on Friday, but couldn’t hold their gains as traders continued to worry about the strength of the economic recovery. The market closed mixed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average crept up nine points to 10,851. The S&P 500 also gained a little bit, but the Nasdaq Composite was down a bit. Broadcasting stocks finished on the down side.
The RBR Radio Index was down 0.410, or 0.2%, to 253.186.
The TVBR Television Index was down 2.240, or 1.5%, to 150.017.
