Original Air America Radio CEO Evan Montvel-Cohen is under house arrest and facing deportation from his native Guam to face two charges of theft, money laundering, forgery and fraudulent use of a credit card in Hawaii. The Pacific Daily News in Guam said details of the Hawaii charges against Montvel-Cohen were not spelled out in the court proceeding. After Montvel-Cohen left Air America, it was learned that hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund Air America had been improperly borrowed from the non-profit Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Clubs, where Montvel-Cohen had also worked. He was never charged in New York, but Air America did eventually repay the Gloria Wise organization.
