On July 1, RBR+TVBR reported on a court-administered auction of the license associated with an AM radio station boasting 10kw during daylight hours and 340 watts at night from 1 tower located alongside the 201 Freeway west of Salt Lake City’s downtown core.
The plaintiff in the foreclosure auction emerged as the high bidder, with a credit bid. The court-appointed receiver and buyer were ready to file a Form 314 filing for approval to transfer this station’s license.
That didn’t happen, with a plot line a telenovela script writer couldn’t have dreamt up himself. Now, after a series of unfortunate events, the station’s sale can proceed.
