ATVA Seeks To Secure STELAR ‘For Consumers’

The American Television Alliance (ATVA) has a bit of a different take on what benefits consumers, with respect to channel availability on a direct-broadcast satellite (DBS) service such as DISH Network or AT&T-owned DirecTV.


While the NAB argues that consumers that subscribe to either DISH or DirecTV should get their closest “local” channel, as technology has rendered The Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act obsolete, the ATVA very much feels otherwise.
